ABOUT ME

My name is Chris Schulte, MS, ATC and I hail from Riverside, California. You might be wondering about my credentials following my name! I have a background in Kinesiology and Sports Medicine. After breaking my ankle in high school, I wanted to learn how to prevent, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries and emergencies. I went through my Master’s program and passed my Boards to become a Certified Athletic Trainer.

I have always loved people, building meaningful connections, and doing life with them, so I naturally fell into a job where I can be part of big moments and make a meaningful impact. That being said, from a young age I have always wanted to pursue photography, but didn’t have the means. I took a class in college and fell in love. I then pursued it, reached out to professionals and surrounded myself with photo mentors. After about 3 years of borrowing or renting gear, I was finally able to buy my dream mirrorless camera/lens.

A photographer I used to know well once told me that my job as an ATC was so cool because I get to be there for the big moments and help people succeed at their best, while helping them at their worst and that they don’t do much. I responded and said “no, you get to capture and record life-changing and memorable moments.” From then on, I asked myself the question, Why can’t I do both? I wanted to capture these beautiful and memorable moments in life and provide joy to those around me. Thus, my drive for photography has taken me all over and allowed me to capture some of my favorite moments/places in life.

Singing off for now,

Chris Schulte, MS, ATC
